Because service is such an important part of our mission in Sigma Kappa, we don't just participate in a number of events and fundraising efforts for our national causes, we also dedicate ourselves to causes in our community that are important and personal for our sisters. For example, when we discovered that a number of our sisters were struggling with Crohn's disease we started our own annual fundraising efforts for them and others like them. We also initiated a fundraising effort to help some of our fellow Greek members when their house burnt down.
Our sisters love to give back, not only is it rewarding in itself, but it's also a great way to bond. When sisters want to get involved in something, like the Hike for Hunger, there are always other sisters ready to jump in and join the cause.
