As an organization Sigma Kappa encourages our members to be involved in their campus and community. Because of this focus on involvement outside of Sigma Kappa, our sisters are able to engage with the campus and community in ways that are important to them by hosting and participating in a number of different events.
Walk to End Alzheimer's
The Sigma Kappa Delta Chapter participates in The Walk to End Alzheimer's every year to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association, one of our five philanthropies. This year, the Delta Chapter raised over $13,000 for the Alzheimer's Association. We love and appreciate this event because it gives us the opportunity to come together as sisters to support an amazing cause that many of our sisters hold very close to their hearts.
This year, we held a Sisterhood retreat week full of fun activities such as Game Night, Bowling, Kayaking on the Charles River and Roller Skating!
The Delta Chapter held a Paint Night to raise money for the Sigma Kappa Foundation! Boston University students as well as members from the Panhellenic Community attended the event where they painted a Boston themed portrait!
Founder's Day Celebration
This past year, the Delta Chapter joined the Theta Lambda Chapter at MIT as well as the Kappa Omega Chapter at Northeastern University to celebrate Founder's Day!
